F.A.Q.

Q: What we do and why we do it?

The Beverly Carter Foundation (BCF) is a completely independent not-for-profit foundation dedicated to the ideal that every agent goes home safe every day by providing scientifically based research, information, consulting, training, and support at little to no charge to every MLS, association, brokerage, and agent. Why? Because education, prevention, and agent support can save lives.

Q: Who is Beverly Carter?

Beverly Carter is the tragic inspiration for BCF. She was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, friend, and REALTOR® kidnapped and murdered while on the job. The terrors associated with her murder brought international awareness to the unique plight and vulbnerability of lone workers -- specifically real estate agents. Beverly's life of love and story of strength amidst incomprehensible cruelty continues to inspire lone workers. Her son, Carl Carter Jr., carries on Beverly's legacy through the creation of the Beverly Carter Foundation, his work as a REALTOR®, and as a devoted son, husband, father, and pillar of the community.
